Forget those creams and ancient methods that get poor results. Opt for new and most efficient types of treatment.
Injections
The injection procedure is a wrinkle treatment that takes only a few minutes and has the advantage of allowing an immediate return to work.
BotoxTM
The Botox treatment done via intramuscular injection reduces dynamic wrinkles by preventing muscle contractions. A few drops injected in the specific muscles are sufficient. Areas most commonly treated are the frown lines between the eyebrows as well as crow’s feet at the corners of the eyes. Results typically last 4 to 6 months, and a repeat injection may be administered at the end of that period.
ArtecollTM
Artecoll is the only injectable micro-implant used for long-lasting correction of wrinkles. It is composed of microscopic polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) beads which are suspended in a collagen solution forming a compound that fills the depression, raising the skin to its normal height. During the 3 to 6 months following the injection, your body will lay down its own natural collagen around the microbeads, producing the long-lasting correction you desire (up to 5 years). Artecoll is used in the treatment of wrinkles as well as scars.
Collagen
Collagen is naturally found in the body and is the oldest biomaterial used as an injectable for wrinkle treatment. It is biodegradable and its effects will last from 6 to 12 months.
RestylaneTM
Restylane, a more recent injectable product is also biodegradable, and will last from 6 to 12 months. Collagen and Restylane are ideal for the treatment of fine wrinkles.
Laser
Wrinkles and fine lines, crow’s feet, weathering, lesions caused by the sun and even some scars are eliminated or faded drastically. This treatment is done under local anaesthesia. Recovery takes 10 days, while the correction will last for 5 to 10 years.
Fat transplants
While thighs and abdomen can accumulate too much fat, other parts of the body tend to lose some with age. That is how cheeks for example lose volume and wrinkles appear.
That’s when fat transplants can be used as a filler. Taken from another body area, fat is injected in the area needing correction to plump and smooth out wrinkles and furrows, giving back volume.
Transplants may be done using the fat removed during a liposuction, or during a completely separate procedure.
